Itinerary

NORTHERN CRUISES
Divesites in Both Thai & Burmese Waters

During each of these Northern cruises we spend several days in Burmese waters. To save daylight hours for diving we do most of our long distance traveling at night. The trips depart from Chalong Bay in Phuket. Departure time is at 20:00hrs, boarding possible from 18:30 onwards.

A typical cruise covers 700 nautical miles. We start at the Similan Islands and from there we head north to Richelieu Rock, possibly with dives at Ko Bon or Ko Tachai. Next we head for the Myanmar border. We clear immigration in Kawthaung (Victoria Point) in the early evening. An official representative from the Tourism Ministry joins us here.

The next few days are spent exploring the Mergui Archipelago, with dives at Western Rocky, Fanforest Pinnacle, 3-Islets, possibly Black Rock and, weather permitting, the Burma Banks. Eventually we make our way back to Kawthoung, where we check out of Myanmar. Usually there is time for a brief shore visit before we head back into Thai waters.

The final days of the cruise are spent working our way south, back to Phuket. Dives at Richelieu Rock, Ko Tachai, Ko Bon and the Similans Islands. Depending on our location on the final day we finish diving around midday or early afternoon. Ocean Rover returns to Chalong Bay, Phuket late that evening. Passengers disembark the next morning at 07:00hrs.

SOUTHERN CRUISES
Divesites in Thai Waters Only

The Southern itinerary combines all the best divesites in Thai waters. We depart from the Chalong Bay Tourist Pier, Phuket at 20:00hrs and visit the Surin Islands first. Heading south from there we then dive Richelieu Rock, Ko Tachai, Ko Bon and the Similan Islands.

Next we make a long overnight passage to the area well south of Phuket. We dive Hin Daeng and Hin Muang and anchor overnight at Ko Rok Nok, where night diving is possible as well.

We finish off the cruise with a selection of divesites around Ko Ha, Pi-Pi Islands, Shark Point and the King Cruiser Wreck. We return to Chalong Bay, Phuket in the evening of the last day. Passengers sleep on-board and disembark the next morning at approx. 07:00hrs.
